The Internet has created a new standard for consumer buying. Customers now want the flexibility to research and buy online. In fact, 91% of Canadian Internet users say they go online to research product information!3
It only makes sense for you to be online when your potential customers are looking for your particular service.
People do what is easy. Access to the Internet via work, home or any hot spot has made getting online easy. According to Jupiter Media, over 64% of people who are looking for information online, use search engines. A potential customer or client can type their problem or what they want into a search engine and find what they need instead of going through 100's of pages of ads in the yellow pages or newsprint. Search engines are getting more precise now, down to an industry specialty and geographic focus, while also continuing to be easier to use.
It is clear that if you are not utilizing the internet as a form of advertising and getting your company's web design done properly and optimized for search engines to get out in front of your customer base, you are missing a huge pool of potential exposure and income.
And remember, a web design done right the first time is a one time investment, with relatively low maintenance fees.
